With the 117th overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft, the Los Angeles Rams have picked Texas A&M WR Josh Reynolds.

Here's how the major draft sites ranked him:

Mocking the Draft: N/A WR, N/A overall
ESPN: 17th WR, 130th overall
CBS Sports: 17th WR, 137th overall

As I said in the reaction to the trade down from #112:

The main goal for the 2017 season under new Head Coach Sean McVay is to assess the personnel he’s been handed from the Jeff Fisher era and decide who among them, if any, he wants to keep long-term. Adding more Day 3 guys and UDFAs allows him to potentially squeeze out the back end of the 2016 roster to isolate those assessments to the top of the roster in guys like OLB Robert Quinn, WR Tavon Austin and more.

This would certainly fit in that mold. The Rams had built up a ton of depth WRs behind Tavon Austin, Kenny Britt and Brian Quick. The latter two are now gone before McVay has even held his first full practice. Austin is going into a season where he will have to earn any continued employment with the Rams. With Robert Woods, Cooper Kupp and now Reynolds, McVay has his new crew built. There’s certainly room at the top of the depth chart that can be filled in a top draft pick in the years to come, but the heart of McVay’s WR corps has been assembled.

Welcome to the Rams, Josh Reynolds!
