Ram It Down Your Throat is back with another episode. TurfShow Times' own Misone is in for Josh Webb and joins Blaine Grisak to discuss all things NFL Draft. With the draft just a few days away, Blaine and Misone go through scenarios on what could happen come draft night. This will be the first draft with Sean McVay and Les Snead. With no first round pick, what will be the Rams' draft strategy?
The guys discuss:
1. Do the Rams have to go offense with their first pick?
The Rams have had the worst offense in the NFL over the past two years. Is offense a must at 37? With guys like Chris Godwin, JuJu Smith-Schuster, and Zay Jones a possibility, do the Rams have to get one of those playmakers? The guys also discuss whether or not the Rams should draft Joe Mixon and whether or not Snead should stand pat or if the team should trade up.
2. Do we trust Snead in his first draft as the top guy in the Rams' draft room?
Les Snead's track record as GM isn't good when it comes to drafting. With busts like Brian Quick, Greg Robinson, and Isaiah Lead, do we trust Snead to make the right choice. The team kept Snead, but fired Jeff Fisher. The guys also discuss how much say new head coach Sean McVay could have in the draft room.
3. What would be considered a successful draft and what would be considered a failure for Les Snead.
Unlike mock drafts, Snead and the Rams only get one shot at the NFL Draft. There is no do-over. At the end of the day, what would be considered a successful draft and what would be considered a failure?
