Another big day in Indy is going down at the 2017 NFL Scouting Combine.

Here’s the runaround with the offensive linemen and running backs all headed home:

2017 NFL Scouting Combine - Day 5 Schedule

Group Status
Group Status
Group 4 (QB, WR), Group 5 (QB, WR), Group 6 (TE) On-Field Workout (timing, stations, skill drills)
Group 7 (DL), Group 8 (DL), Group 9 (LB) Psychological Testing, NFLPA Meeting, PK/ST Workout, Media, Bench Press, Interviews
Group 10 (DB), Group 11 (DB) Measurements, Medical Examinations, Overflow Testing, Interviews
  • Wideouts getting their 40 times in right now. I’d be very surprised if the Los Angeles Rams get out of the 2017 NFL Draft without one.
  • I don’t think that their draft priorities of a wide receiver will necessarily be impacted by any free agency moves either. So if the Rams are able to land one of the two former Washington Football Player WRs in DeSean Jackson or Pierre Garcon to work with their former offensive coordinator in new Rams Head Coach Sean McVay, I don’t think that precludes them from adding another wide receiver of the same type.
  • I say all that only to keep an open mind about what kind of wide receiver to look for coming out of Indy. Speed? Sure. Size? Sure. All-around? Why not.
