Former Los Angeles Rams S T.J. McDonald has signed with the Miami Dolphins:

The signing comes at an awkward point in his career as we learned just two days ago that McDonald will be suspended for the first eight games in 2017 due to a violation of the NFL substance abuse policy in relation to the non-alcohol related DUI he was arrested for last May and ultimately charged with in September.
McDonald was a physical presence in his four years with the Rams since being drafted in the third round of the 2013 NFL Draft. He leaves the Rams having racked up 215 tackles with four interceptions and five sacks.
He’ll be able to participate in the Dolphins’ training camp and preseason activities before serving his eight-game suspension. Hopefully whatever was going on in his life that cause the DUI is behind him and that he’s able to get back on the field permanently.
Best of luck, T.J.
