JuJu Smith-Schuster is one of the best receivers in USC history. He leaves Pasadena in the program record books with the fourth most receptions and fifth most receiving yards ranking above Trojan wideout luminaries like Lynn Swann, Keyshawn Johnson and Steve Smith (I know. Different era, I know, I know. The record books still are what they are.).
With the Long Beach-bred wide receiver on display at the 2017 NFL Scouting Combine this week, the Los Angeles Rams are going to be a popular hypothetical landing spot for the next two months.
So it comes as perhaps comfortable news that the Rams have already had some early engagement with JSS this draft season:
USC WR JuJu Smith Schuster has talked formerly to the Los Angeles #Rams and #Chargers at combine. Has also thrown with Jared Goff

#USC receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster worked out with Rams QB and Eagles QB Carson Wentz.

Asked how #USC QB Sam Darnold compared to pro QBs, Smith-Schuster said, "he's up there."

Sure, it’s some tenuous dot connecting, but every draft pick ultimately starts with tenuous dot connecting.
Regardless of what happens when free agency opens next week, the Rams are likely to add talent to their wide receiver depth chart.
Smith-Schuster would be as obvious a candidate to be part of that addition as anyone.
