Oh, and to boot:
On the same day McDonald learned of his fate, he visited the Dolphins. First visit for the former Ram. https://t.co/XA0I1lQhnv

For a first-time free agent, this could not have been worse timing for McDonald. T.J sort of turned into the Rams’ hometown kid, as he spent his college years at USC. McDonald was originally drafted by the Rams (Fisher and Snead) in the 2013 draft as a 3rd round pick.
Outside of some minor injuries here and there, McDonald was a fine player. Never really a big time play-maker, but a solid and dependable player on the back-end, McDonald ends his Rams tenure with 218 tackles, 5.0 sacks, 17 pass deflections, and 4 INT’s.
There’s been word from Alden Gonzalez (ESPN) that the Rams may try to fill the FS opening internally, as in sliding Lamarcus Joyner to Safety on base downs and kicking him back into Nickel for 3rd downs.
Lamarcus Joyner sounds like a good bet to move to safety, freeing the Rams up to go after WR/TE in the draft. ... https://t.co/T4DMtRc8Iq
