Former Los Angeles Rams RB Benny Cunningham has signed with the Chicago Bears:

Cunningham spent four years with the Rams signing as an undrafted free agent following the 2013 NFL Draft. He leaves the Rams with 171 rushes for 748 rushing yards and four rushing touchdowns and 93 receptions for 752 receiving yards and a receiving touchdown.

Cunnigham was part of the running back-drowned Fisherball era that featured Steven Jackson, Isaiah Pead, Zac Stacy, Daryl Richardson, Tre Mason, Trey Watts, Todd Gurley, Malcolm Brown and Cunningham at various intervals in just five seasons. He was generally a receiving threat to complement the ground game of his colleagues. Consider that Cunningham averaged more than two targets, 1.63 receptions, and nearly 13.2 receiving yards per game to complement the starting running backs over his span along with the ground game support he provided.

The Rams signed RB Lance Dunbar less than a week ago to replace Cunningham on the depth chart signaling that Cunningham would indeed be testing the free agent market in earnest.

Best of luck, Benny!
