Former Pittsburgh Steelers pass rusher LB Jarvis Jones is currently a free agent, and according to Jason La Canfora, he’s slated to visit the Rams.
Ex-Steelers RB Jarvis Jones, who is visiting the Cardinals today, will visit the Rams next. LA very intrigued by him

Jones was a 1st round pick in the 2013 draft. He garnered major hype as a terrific pass rusher in college at Georgia; though things never panned out for Jones in Pittsburgh. In four years, Jones only had 6.0 sacks but also grabbed down 2 INT’s and 4 forced fumbles. Jones’ major fall in the ‘13 draft was due to a spinal stenosis, as many thought he would have been one of the top prospects drafted. He ultimately was selected as the 17th overall selection.
Jones offers an interesting piece for the Rams. He hasn’t been a great player thus far, but still has some untapped potential. He isn’t the greatest athlete and will likely need to win by technique refinement.
Jones offers some depth at the pass rushing OLB spot, and may ultimately start outside for the Rams. With the releases of William Hayes and Eugene Sims, and the unknown status of Ethan Westbrooks, the Rams sorely need a SLB who can offer some run stopping ability as well as some juice in the pass rush. Jones is an interesting option because he’s spent his career in the 3-4 at OLB.
