Rolling out the red carpet for him was Rams P Johnny Hekker who took to Twitter to work his recruiting game:

No tweets back from Da Twitter Gawd and new Rams Defensive Coordinator Wade Phillips, but there aren’t any really needed in any potential recruiting of Webster. Philips was the DC for the Denver Broncos the last two seasons helping Webster and the Broncos win the Super Bowl in 2015.
Having lost S Rodney McLeod to free agency last season and looking at S T.J. McDonald likely heading out, there’s certainly room on the depth chart for one of Phillips’ former students if Wade wants to play him there. If he wants to keep him at cornerback, there’s room there too with CB Trumaine Johnson possibly following CB Janoris Jenkins’ exit from last year.
We’ll have to see if Hekker’s Twitter game, Webster’s experience in Phillips’ system and Rams General Manager Les Snead’s free agency expertise are enough to land Webster for 2017 and perhaps beyond.
