Los Angeles Rams 13, Tennessee Titans 13: Oddballs

In perhaps the weirdest game of the Rams’ 2017 season, things are all tied up with 30 minutes separating them from an NFC West crown.

Of course. Of course this is how it goes.

The Los Angeles Rams are tied up with the Tennessee Titans at halftime in Week 16 in the most predictable, obvious, unpredictable, disputable way possible.

Of course the mid-week loss of K Greg Zuerlein to IR for the rest of the season would be felt on the first possession. It motivated the Rams not to allow replacement K Sam Ficken to attempt a 49-yard field goal instead opting for the clear Option B: taking a delay of game, faking the punt and throwing a go route from P Johnny Hekker into double coverage.

Of course LB Cory Littleton, in for LB Mark Barron who is inactive today without being listed on the injury report with an official game status, would intercept Titans QB Marcus Mariota on the first possession.

Of course Ficken would miss the extra point on the Rams’ first touchdown of the day soon after.

Of course he’d soon miss another field goal and of course Todd Gurley would take a screen 80 yards to the house and of course the Rams would allow a fumble recovery for a TD and of course C John Sullivan would be replaced by C Austin Blythe.

The Rams are 30 minutes away from clinching the NFC West for the first time in a generation.

Of course this is how it’s going to go down.
