The Los Angeles Rams are on the road against the Tennessee Titans in Week 16 with a chance to clinch the NFC West crown. If they’re going to do so, they’ll have to do it without the help of LB Mark Barron as he headlines the seven-man inactive roster today:
- LB Mark Barron
- RB Justin Davis
- RB Lance Dunbar
- LB Kasim Edebali
- S Isaiah Johnson
- OLB Matt Longacre
- OT Cornelius Lucas
Barron’s absence is a bit of a surprise as he wasn’t listed with a game status on the final injury report. That means he should have been graded above Questionable, so that he’s seemingly unavailable due to his knee injury is less than expected. That’s opposed to Longacre who we knew was out today.
That means 2016 Rams Rookie of the Year LB Cory Littleton will be in for Barron to add to his special teams prowess while OLB Carlos Thompson and OLB Samson Ebukam pitch in on Longacre’s snaps.
Here’s the Titans’ inactives:
- Josh Carraway
- Harry Douglas
- Demontre Hurst
- David King
- Corey Levin
- Logan Ryan
- Brandon Weeden
Our friends over at Music City Miracles, the SB Nation community for fans of the Titans, had this to say:
In an absolutely critical spot, the Titans are suddenly banged up. The Titans added three to the injury report this week — three starters in fact. Cornerback LeShaun Sims hurt his hamstring in practice, resulting in the team placing him on IR with just two games left to play.
Tennessee added both starting inside linebackers to the injury report on Saturday, which is a huge deal considering Todd Gurley is in town today.
Both linebackers are slated to go today, however.
So in addition to Sims, the Titans will be without slot cornerback Logan Ryan, who was hurt in last week’s game. That means a steady dose of Brice McCain, Tye Smith and Kalan Reed to go along with Adoree’ Jackson.
That’s..... not ideal.
