As the injuries continue to pile on for NFL teams around the league, the Los Angeles Rams are no different, though the loss of QB Brandon Allen isn’t as back-breaking as the recent news of Greg Zuerlein. The Rams have placed QB Brandon Allen on season-ending injured reserve with a back injury:

Brandon Allen was originally claimed off waivers after the Jacksonville Jaguars waived him, just prior to the NFL season starting. Allen was quite productive in the preseason for the Jaguars, totaling 516 passing yards, as well as three touchdowns and three interceptions. Allen has remained inactive every week for the Rams, serving as the teams third QB, and scout-team QB. Allen’s loss wont change much, as the Rams continue forward with Jared Goff remaining the starter, and Sean Mannion as the backup.
In a corresponding move, the Rams have filled Allen’s roster spot with DE/OLB Kasim Edebali. Edebali was originally undrafted in 2014, joining the New Orleans Saints as a UDFA. Edebali has played for the Saints, the Denver Broncos, and the Detroit Lions, totaling eight sacks in a majorly reserve role.
With the movement completed, the Rams roster currently sits at 53 players.
