This week Joe (@3k_) and I (@MightyOrMisone) were accompanied by none other than Rob Forehand aka seattlerams (@seattlerams_nfl).
Rob attended the Los Angeles Rams and Philadelphia Eagles game with his daughter who happens to be an Eagles fan. So this was a pretty good experience for Rob this week, win lose or draw, however, I’m sure – like the rest of us – he would have enjoyed himself even more with a win.
We discussed the loss and Rams HC Sean McVay’s continued struggles with not getting too far away from the run. This is a talking point I personally have been pointing out since the Houston Texans game. We discussed how much of a difference it might have made to have fed Rams RB Todd Gurley more early in the game, which would also allowed the Rams to play keep away. We also discussed how much blame Rams QB Jared Goff deserved for the loss.
(Editor’s note: McVay addressed this during his remarks to the media, a transcript of which was made available during the recording of this podcast.)
We then discuss if the Rams are ready for the playoffs. After two ugly very disappointing losses to the Eagles and Minnesota Vikings over the last three weeks, are the Rams truly ready to take on the best teams the NFC has to offer?
From there, we looked ahead to the game Seattle Seahawks game. Can the Rams stop a red hot Seahawks QB Russell Wilson? That is the focus heading into this game.
Thanks again to Rob for joining the discussion and always doing a great job with Turf Show Times’ Facebook page.
Enjoy!
