The 2017 Los Angeles Rams are ready.
In their 51-17 beatdown of the New York Giants today, they proved they are ready to take on a legitimate playoff push. To take on meaningful November football.
To take on the NFL.
Don’t misunderstand me. I’m not saying they’re going to go undefeated. I’m not saying you should buy tickets to Minneapolis for next February.
I’m saying they’re ready for the test, a test they haven’t taken for years. And man, do we as fans deserve this kind of ride.
As for today, it was a professional performance much like the second half against the Arizona Cardinals two weeks ago in London. There was a degree of supremacy here (and there). The Rams didn’t have to do too much. There was no reason to force anything. And they didn’t.
They were methodical and persistent and disciplined (well, mostly). They were, in a word, ready.
And now they’re 6-2 headed home for the first time in more than a month.
Bring on November. The Rams are ready.
