Week 10. Double digits. No avoiding the obvious.
It’s go time.
Here are a couple major battles throughout a wonderful day of college football (seven games with both teams ranked!) to consider as we start looking ahead to the 2018 NFL Draft with more sincere attention, something we can do more easily with two mock drafts out this week:
#24 Michigan St. (6-2) LBs Joe Bachie, Andrew Dowell and Chris Frey v. #7 Penn St. (7-1) RB Saquon Barkley
Barkley’s the best running back in the country. Containing him will be a hell of a challenge for a school that pumps out NFL-caliber linebackers.
#4 Clemson (7-1) OT Mitch Hyatt v. #20 N.C. St. (6-2) DE Bradley Chubb
I’ll be blunt. This is an NFL football matchup. Both of these guys are headed to the league. Might as well get a preview.
#5 Oklahoma (7-1) passing defense v. #11 Oklahoma St. (7- 1) passing offense
OSU’s passing attach is the second-best in the nation with QB Mason Rudolph and WR James Washington leading the way. OU DBs Jordan Thomas and Parnell Motley are gonna have their hands full.
#19 LSU (6-2) defensive line v. #2 Alabama (8-0) offensive line
Obviously.
