Took McVay 11 games to not be 7-9.

This sums up the last decade plus of Rams football in a very satisfying way.
This is what last weeks poll looked like after a disappointing showing against the Minnesota Vikings.

That’s not a bad showing, but there is noticeable dip of about 15% of voters that moved down to a ‘4’ when the Rams experienced serious adversity this season. This tells me that some fans would have fallen off of the bandwagon if the Rams dropped a second consecutive game last weekend against the New Orleans Saints.
Sean McVay made sure that didn’t happen. He took his slightly battered squad and repeatedly attacked the Saints depleted secondary. Jared Goff threw 43 passes and completed a career high 28 passes to 8 different receivers. Rookie Cooper Kupp had his redemption game as well, putting up 116 yards on 8 catches.
On top of showing that the 2017 Rams are legitimate contenders, last weekend silenced many remaining Sean McVay doubters.
