The Los Angeles Rams ran headlong into the injury bug last weekend against the Minnesota Vikings, but their opponent is having some injury woes of their own. It what is sure to be a hard fought game, Rams fans hopes were inflated a bit when it was announced that both of the New Orleans Saints starting cornerbacks would not be playing on Sunday.
Significant injury development in NO: Both starting CBs Marshon Lattimore (ankle) and Ken Crawley (abdomen) have been declared OUT.

According to Pro Football Focus, Lattimore is an ‘elite’ corner and is ranked #4 in the NFL while Crawley is ‘above average’ and is ranked #17. For reference, Trumaine Johnson, Nickell Robey-Coleman, and Kayvon Webster are ranked 77th, 29th, and 72nd in the NFL.
Losing two players of that caliber is no laughing matter, and that issue is compounded when they play the same position. This bodes well for a Rams WR group that is in transition after losing Robert Woods to a shoulder injury for several weeks.
Look for Sean McVay, Jared Goff, and co. to take advantage of a shorthanded Saints secondary on Sunday.
