The Los Angeles Rams will face a YUGE test tomorrow when they face off against the Minnesota Vikings at US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. As is the case with any matchup between 7-2 teams, there are plenty of juicy matchups. Here’s the best of the best that you need to watch for Sunday.

Vikings Receivers vs Rams Secondary

I know, I know. This isn’t so much a ‘matchup’ as pitting the Vikings Pass O against the Rams Pass D, but it’s impossible to narrow this down further. The Vikings have Adam Thielen, Stefon Diggs, Kyle Rudolph, and a still developing Laquon Treadwell. That’s about as fearsome of a foursome you will find in the NFL. Dalvin Cook being absent with an ACL injury will help Wade Phillips some, but former Ram Case Keenum is slinging it around with the best of them right now. Trumaine Johnson, Lamarcus Joyner and Co. are going to have their hands full for this one.

Alec Ogletree and Mark Barron vs Everyone

Count me among those that have been proved wrong this season regarding the Rams pair of ILBs. They’ve adjusted well to the new defense and will need to be at their best on Sunday. They’ll be asked to cover Rudolph at times, contain Latavius Murray and Jerick McKinnon, all while putting pressure on Case Keenum to make the mistakes we all know he is capable of.

John Fassel vs Creativity

For the better part of his career, Fassel was the most creative coach on the Rams staff. He’s also been the tipping point in many close games for the Rams. With Sean McVay upping the ante in recent weeks, I’d expect Fassel to have a trick or two of his own design up his sleeve this weekend. The Rams special teams are already elite, but they could be special on Sunday if Fassel uncorks one of his beauties.
