Turf Show Radio S9E18: Seven wins, Sammy and Sosa!

This week TST's very own Sosa Kremanjas joins us as the Rams advance to 7-2 entering a tough stretch. And what to make of WR Sammy Watkins?

This week Joe (@3k_) and I (@MightyOrMisone) are joined by our very own Turf Show Times Canadian cousin, Sosa Kremanjas (@SosaKre).

We discuss everything this week, as Sosa and I am are too analytical for Joe to keep up with. From the win against the Houston Texans, to QB Jared Goff's back-to-back 300-yard games, to the gauntlet of games the Los Angeles Rams are entering, and even discusing whether WR Sammy Watkins is “elite.”

First, we reviewed the Texans game. It was about as bad as I predicted in my week ten scouting report as Goff just absolutely shredded Houston’s secondary. RB Todd Gurley didn't have to do much from a touches point of view — only 17 total touches — but he made his opportunities count ripping off 136 total yards.

From there, we discuss this upcoming slate of games in great detail. The question came about: is this the hardest stretch of games the Rams have seen in the last 10 years? The Rams have to play each NFC divison leader in a six-week span as well as the Tennessee Titans who lead their division and the Seattle Seahawks who are right on their tail. The Rams are the only team that has to play all of the division leaders this season. The results of the next six weeks will have major playoff implications.

Next we discussed the all important topic: is Watkins an elite wide receiver? This conversation got heated with great points from both sides.

Also, we found out how Sosa, a true Canadian, became a Rams fan. Turns out Canada doesn’t have the real Madden game, just some weird cheap knock off with two teams... Seriously you have to listen to this story. It's absolutely hilarious.

That’s all for this week. Next week, we will be having an open call in show for all listeners. More info on how to take part in the call in show coming later this week.
