The Los Angeles Rams for the second straight season has gotten to 3-1. This time, it just feels so much more real than last year with consistent offensive production and timely defense.
The rookies continue to be such an integral part of this successful team, especially on the offensive side of the ball.
WR Cooper Kupp
Cooper Kupp lead the Rams wide receivers with targets (just one short of Todd Gurley’s eight). Kupp managed to snag five catches for 60 yards on seven targets, including an awesome out-route for a touchdown.

Kupp and Jared Goff continue to have a good rapport. Maybe it’s nice to have a rookie older than you with sure hands....

Brandin Cooks turned 24-years-old today. Cooper Kupp is older than him.

TE Gerald Everett
Gerald Everett was tearing it up in warmups with some crazy catches.

Unfortunately, not much happened during the game for Everett but he continues to get looks. In fact, the tight end group in total got nine targets (out of 36 passes) with Everett getting three looks. Tyler Higbee had perhaps the best game of this season but look for Everett to continue to get looks.
Offensive Guys
The rest of the guys didn’t get too many looks but props to Josh Reynolds for the devastating block on the long Gurley TD catch.

Defensive Guys
On defense Tanzel Smart and John Johnson continue to see their roles expand. Johnson saw a much bigger workload with the LaMarcus Joyner injury and impressed with four solo tackles. Smart was able to contribute with a tackle and QB hit. Look for Wade Phillips to continue to sprinkle these guys into certain packages.
