Per CBS Sports’ Jason La Canfora, Gregg Williams will no longer be the Los Angeles Rams Defensive Coordinator after agreeing to take the same position with the Cleveland Browns for 2017:
The Browns have secured Gregg Williams to be their next defensive coordinator. Done deal. Wholesale changes coming to defensive staff

We passed on a report just yesterday that the 2016 Los Angeles Rams’ defensive coaching staff was hoping to remain intact. Perhaps those hopes transfer in their entirety from Los Angeles to Cleveland.
As it stands, it’s a relatively quick exit for Williams who will serve under Browns Head Coach Hue Jackson who is headed into just his second year as the head man in Cleveland.
For the Rams, it opens up the defensive side of the coaching tree for the Rams’ next head coach. With a reported impetus pushing the Rams to hire an offensively minded head coach, Williams’ departure offers that next HC the opportunity to go after a well-established, experienced DC to help oversee that side of the ball.
Nonetheless as we bid adieu to Fisherball, it’s one more piece of the previous regime breaking with the Rams for opportunities elsewhere.
(UPDATED at 9:27pm ET)
Sounds like he’s got the staff going with him:
Told Gregg Williams will be bringing assts. Brandon Fisher, Dennard Wilson & Blake Williams to #Browns. Possibly more.
