Los Angeles Rams Owner Stan Kroenke issued a statement following the team’s hiring of 30-year old former Washington Football Team Offensive Coordinator Sean McVay to be their next head coach:
This is an exciting day for the Los Angeles Rams as we welcome Sean McVay as our new head coach. The accomplishments and success that he has rendered in less than a decade in our league are remarkable. I am confident in his vision to make a team a consistent winner and to ultimately bring a Super Bowl title home to Los Angeles.
Kroenke’s statement doesn’t really elucidate what McVay’s vision is or address how the Rams are going to execute that vision to deliver winning football to a franchise that hasn’t seen it since 2003, but if you were expecting that from Stan Kroenke then you don’t know Stan Kroenke.
More media opportunities are sure to develop in the coming day, but we’ll see if Kroenke makes himself available in any capacity to address the hire in them.
Stay tuned.
