Tuesday Evening Open Thread, 1/10: Errthang But Head Coaching Candidates

Good Tuesday evening to you, ladies and gents of TST! Hoping, as always, that this one finds you well. It’s been a while since we’ve had an open thread (damn you, busy holiday season!), but I’ve got some time on this very quiet Tuesday evening, so I thought I’d whip one up for old times sake.

With the Rams’ season over, and excitement of draft season somewhat lessened due to a paltry amount of picks, the only thing we’ve really had to talk about - from a football standpoint - is the search for a new head coach.

So let’s talk about something else this evening. Feel free to talk about anything you’d like, but I’ll kick it off with a few subjects and we’ll take it from there...

I posted a poll on twitter last night regarding the potential loss(es) of Kenny Britt and Trumaine Johnson in free agency. What are your thoughts?

I’m one of the 77% that voted significant. And not because I think either of them are world-beaters. They’re not. And I’m not necessarily advocating to re-sign them, but I do think losing them to free agency would be a huge hit to depth.

A lot of responses I got were that these guys fell into the “just another guy” category. That’s fair. But look at what’s left when those JAG’s are gone...

About That Second Round Pick...

The offseason would be a heck of a lot more fun if the Rams have the fourth overall pick in the upcoming NFL Draft. Instead, we’ll get to watch the Titans use that selection. What a bummer.

But the Rams will have to make the most of it, regardless. And it’ll start early in the 2nd round.

Odell Beckham Jr and his buddies went to Miami and hung out on a yacht prior to their playoff game against the Packers. They lost, dropping a few footballs along the way, and their GM pretty much told OBJ that he needed to grow up.

Christmas was a few weeks ago. What’d ya get? There has to be a gift you wanted desperately that Santa ended up bringing. Or did you get a super shitty gift from your in-laws or ungrateful kids?

You know I had to talk about TV. Whatcha watching these days? It’s been so long since I’ve done one of these I can’t even remember what I was watching at the time, or what suggestions you may have made.

I’m kinda dried up on shows right now, unfortunately. My wife and I did just finish up watching Westworld though, and it. was. excellent!

Side note: I cut cable about two months ago. Rockin’ Sling as my streaming service. Saving about $90 a month. Feel free to shoot me any questions if you’ve considered doing so yourself.
