Rams At 49ers: Intermediate Injury Report Still Has Three Rams Out

The Rams’ second of three practices getting ready for Monday Night Football now just lists three injured Rams...and they’re all complete absences.

As the Los Angeles Rams continue to prepare for Monday’s season opener in Santa Clara against the San Francisco 49ers, today’s practice injury report upgraded the two limited participants from yesterday while the three significantly injured Rams remain so:

Los Angeles Rams

Name POS Injury Thu. Status Fri. Status
Bryce Hager LB Concussion Limited Full
Rob Havenstein OT Foot Limited Full
Pharoh Cooper WR Shoulder DNP DNP
E.J. Gaines CB Thigh DNP DNP
Nelson Spruce WR Knee DNP DNP

Yay on the upgrades, but boo on the three who remain sidelined. Will any of them be ready for Week 1? And if not...when?

Meanwhile, the Niners upgraded two of their three DNP-listed players:

San Francisco 49ers

Name POS Injury Thu. Status Fri. Status
Arik Armstead DL Shoulder Limited Limited
Nick Bellore LB Knee Limited Limited
Quinton Dial DT Knee Limited Limited
Glenn Dorsey DL Knee DNP Limited
Keith Reaser CB Ankle DNP Limited
Chris Davis CB Hamstring DNP

I wouldn’t be surprised to see Chris Davis upgraded tomorrow. If not, so be it. I don’t think the Niners, or the Rams for that matter, have a future that hinges on his availability.

Nonetheless, the bottom line for this game headed into Week 1 revolves around the three Rams yet to hit the practice field.

For a young Rams team hoping not to replicate their 2015, missing out on three players who weren’t even a part of 2015 certainly won’t help.
