The Los Angeles Rams wrapped their first game prep practice of the 2016 regular season today.

They’ve got two more coming tomorrow and Saturday before traveling to take on the San Francisco 49ers on Monday Night Football. With today’s practice, though, comes our first injury report:

Los Angeles Rams

Name POS Injury Thu. Status
Bryce Hager LB Concussion Limited
Rob Havenstein OT Foot Limited
Pharoh Cooper WR Shoulder DNP
E.J. Gaines CB Thigh DNP
Nelson Spruce WR Knee DNP

You have to start with the three who didn’t practice today in Cooper, Spruce and Gaines.

It’s certainly cause for concern. It’s also likely why the Rams stacked up at WR for the initial 53-man roster and then signed CB Steve Williams today. The question is one of when we’ll see them return. That none were put on IR, unlike OLs Garrett Reynolds and Darrell Williams, at least suggests they could all come back soon. Bear in mind Gaines battled injuries throughout training camp and the preseason after missing all of 2015 with a foot injury while Spruce was injured in the first preseason game.

Here’s the Niners’ report:

San Francisco 49ers

Name POS Injury Thu. Status
Arik Armstead DL Shoulder Limited
Nick Bellore LB Knee Limited
Quinton Dial DT Knee Limited
Chris Davis CB Hamstring DNP
Glenn Dorsey DL Knee DNP
Keith Reaser CB Ankle DNP

Nothing overwhelming there, but they’ve got three DNPs to track as well. Let’s see how things shake out on their side this week.

Bear in mind, the NFL has mandated a change to the injury report this year eliminating the "Probable" designation. So the Rams, and any other team, could take the players who are likely to play and not list them on the final report with an official game status, or they could list them as questionable. We’ll have to see on Saturday how the Rams decide to play it.
