Note: I’ll update the snap counts in this spreadsheet all season including the first tab tracking the season totals. While I’ll paste individual game PT in each week’s recap, I’ll likely refer to the season totals moving forward from that link. So uh, peep it.

Mike Thomas | WR | 8 | 12.31% |
Andrew Donnal | T | 4 | 6.15% |
Pharoh Cooper | WR | 1 | 1.54% |
WR Tavon Austin played nearly 94% of the snaps in Week 1. In Weeks 2 & 3, he’s been right around 75%. Wonder if we see him normalize in that range for the rest of the season.
RB Todd Gurley, on the other hand, went from ~60% to ~70% to exactly 80% in Week 3. No clue how he gets used in Week 4.
TE Tyler Higbee continues to gets time even if he’s not producing in the passing game.
Note that RB Malcolm Brown didn’t feature at all in Week 3. Not sure if that’s indicative of something larger moving forward or an aberration.
And no, WR Pharoh Cooper didn’t make his season debut. It was an accounting error by the NFL. I waited to see if they’d correct by now, but screw it.

Cory Littleton | LB | 1 | 1.11% |
First off...90 snaps is a lot of football. A lot.
CB Lamarcus Joyner saw his PT dip in Week 3. Perhaps that’s related to the broken toe he’s suffering with?
DT Aaron Donald is suffering nothing of the sort. He’s gone from ~60% to ~70% to topping 85% this week.
With DE William Hayes injured early and DE Eugene Sims ejected, DL Ethan Westbrooks stepped up big time. Got that touchdown to boot.
And instead of rolling out an extra linebacker, the Rams have been using S Cody Davis much more regularly. In each of the last two weeks, Davis has topped 30%.
That being said, LB Josh Forrest got a slice of the defensive snaps again. His 10 snaps in Week 2 were followed by a dozen this week.

Some really strange discrepancies here that, given the Cooper error on offense, raise some eyebrows to the accuracy here.
Newly-added FS Isaiah Johnson, OL Rodger Saffold, OT Greg Robinson, G Cody Wichmann, Westbrooks, Higbee, WR Kenny Britt and WR Brian Quick all took their first special teams snaps of the season in Week 3. That seems odd. And even if it’s accurate...that still seems odd.
What jumps out to you from the playing time in Week 3? Any trends you’re concerned about? What about Gurley’s increased usage? Cody Davis? Any microtrends?
Holla at ya boi about them microtrends.
