Week 3 is fast approaching and with it the Los Angeles Rams-Tampa Bay Buccaneers game.
Per 506 Sports, here’s the FOX broadcast map for Sunday:
:no_upscale()/cdn.vox-cdn.com/uploads/chorus_asset/file/7142647/Week%203%20broadcast%20map.png)
- Teal: Rams at Buccaneers (LATE)
- Red: Washington Football Team at Giants
- Green: Cardinals at Bills
- Yellow: Lions at Packers
- Orange: Vikings at Panthers
- Blue: 49ers at Seahawks
Non-pictured market coverage: Anchorage, AK - 49ers at Seahawks; Fairbanks, AK - Lions at Packers; Honolulu, HI - 49ers at Seahawks
A MUCH smaller footprint for Rams football than last week’s map.
Instead of a bunch of out-of-market households tuning in, you’ve got a chunk of SoCal, most of Florida, that southern belt of Georgia...and that’s it.
Understandably, there aren’t a ton of narratives surrounding this game. Unlike WAS-NYG, DET-GB and SF-SEA, this isn’t a divisional rivalry. You don’t have the allure of an injury-depleted, Sam Bradford-led Minnesota Vikings team at the NFC’s Super Bowl entry from a year ago. And Cardinals-Bills...well, they’re only getting their home markets too.
We’ll have to see as the 2016 season rolls on, and depending on how the Rams fare, if they pick up any additional markets.
