Rams 9, Seahawks 3: Fisherball Prevails In LA

This is Fisherball.

Over and over and over and over again, the Seattle Seahawks lined up today with QB Russell Wilson looking to lead the charge.

Over and over and over and over again, they failed.

The Los Angeles Rams’ defense put up a masterclass performance today holding the Seahawks to just 305 total yards and a measly 3 points to win the game single-handedly.

Single-handedly because the Rams’ offense did little to support them. If the Rams’ defense impressed by holding Seattle to 305 yards, Los Angeles made Seattle’s defense look even more impressive by putting together just 283 yards of offense. Case Keenum was 18/30 for 239 yards. Just Todd Gurley added 51 yards on 19 carries.

It was ugly. It was painful. It was Fisherball.

If there’s a complaint, it’s not for today. It’s that we didn’t see this a week ago against what, what most would agree, was an inferior opponent in the San Francisco 49ers.

Shout out to the value of home advantage.

So it is. The Rams stunk it up on the road on Monday Night Football to open the season. They got a historic home win to follow.

Los Angeles Rams football is back. And so is Fisherball.
