First things first.
Here’s the Los Angeles Rams’ final injury report ahead of Sunday’s Week 2 clash against intradivisional rival Seattle Seahawks:

---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Name | POS | Injury | Wed. Status | Thu. Status | Fri. Status | Game Status |
Todd Gurley | RB | Rest | DNP | Full | Full | |
Lamarcus Joyner | CB | Foot | Limited | Limited | Full | Questionable |
Michael Brockers | DT | Thigh | DNP | Limited | Full | Questionable |
Pharoh Cooper | WR | Shoulder | DNP | DNP | Limited | Doubtful |
Nelson Spruce | WR | Knee | DNP | DNP | DNP | Out |
E.J. Gaines | CB | Thigh | DNP | DNP | DNP | Out |
That’s not a typo at the end of RB Todd Gurley’s line. Because he’s not injured and was just listed on the report because he had the day off on Wednesday, he’s not even listed as “Questionable.” Remember, the league has decided not to include the “Probable” status this year, so it’s “Questionable” or nothing.
More interestingly, you’ve got WR Pharoh Cooper “upgraded,” I guess, from “Out” to “Doubtful” having gotten in limited action today while WR Nelson Spruce is sidelined having been unable to participate all week. Why is that interesting? Because last week, Spruce was the one who got late limited work while Cooper was unable to practice. Does this mean Spruce had a setback? Is Cooper perhaps on the verge of making his debut in Week 3?
And Brockers and Joyner were late full participants. Does that mean their “Questionable” status is perhaps a bit harsh toward their playable probability?
