The Rams suffered a blowout defeat at the hands of the San Francisco 49ers – to the tune of a 28-0 ass whoopin’.
All is not ba... mmm at second glance, yea it was all bad. It was horrid to watch.
The Rams did have some rookies playing out there in the season opener. Lets take a gander at how they fared in the first game of the season
QB Jared Goff
We all know the story on Goff. Inactive for the season opener. Named third-string quarterback. He who runs the scout team offense.
C’mon son, if Jared cannot beat out Case Keenum for the starting gig on THIS shitty ass Rams team, we are in for a LOOOOOOOONG season.
TE Tyler Higbee
Tyler Higbee was brought in to be that “move“ tight end ala Jared Cook. We did not see that in Week 1.
Tyler caught one ball that just got out pass the line of scrimmage for a two-yard gain. Ain’t much field stretching here bro.
WR Pharoh Cooper
No surprise here. Cooper was inactive prior to the game. He is still nursing a shoulder injury suffered during the preseason.
Wishin’ for a speedy recovery, Pharoh, this offense needs all the help it can get.
TE Temarrick Hemingway
Hemingway was the first of the Rams’ three sixth round selections in this year’s draft. He came in as an uber athletic, yet developmental tight end. He only saw the field on special teams.
LB Josh Forrest
See above. The rookie ‘backer got some ST snaps.
WR Michael Thomas
Mike Thomas played mostly on special teams. He lined up in the back for kick returns, along side with backup running back Benny Cunningham.
Thomas also made appearances on both punt return and punt coverage teams.
