LA Rams LT Greg Robinson, WR Pharoh Cooper, CBs E.J. Gaines & Troy Hill Injured Against Denver Broncos

The Rams saw four players injured. At least one might not be available for Week 1 because of the injury.

Well, Los Angeles Rams Head Coach Jeff Fisher had some injury news tonight at his Sunday press conference.

WR Pharoh Cooper hurt his shoulder on that impressive catch down the middle of the field and will miss a couple of weeks. Per Fish, Cooper might not be available for the Rams’ Week 1 Monday Night Football clash in San Francisco against the 49ers on September 12. One thing to keep in mind? The NFL recently changed the injury report classifications to get rid of the “probable” status. I’d guess that we won’t know if Pharoh Cooper is available for the game until the last minute.

Fish said CB E.J. Gaines has injured his quadricep, this coming after a hamstring injury he suffered earlier in camp and of course last year’s Lisfranc foot injury that sidelined him all year. While it’s perhaps presumptive to begin worrying about his inability to get to healthy in general, I do worry that all three injuries have been lower body injuries and that perhaps they’re not unrelated.

LT Greg Robinson and CB Troy Hill both underwent concussion protocols as well. No word on severity.

The Rams have just three private practices ahead of Thursday’s preseason finale, the first of which took place earlier this evening. They’ll be back at it tomorrow and Tuesday before wrapping up 2016 training camp, cutting the roster down to a 75-player max and heading out to Minnesota to face the Vikings.

Stay tuned.
