Now begins the final pair of preseason games for the 2016 Los Angeles Rams and with them the two rounds of cuts that will finalize the 53-man roster in advance of the regular season opener against the San Francisco 49ers on Sep. 12.

First things first, though.

Tonight, the Rams are taking the reigning Super Bowl Champion Denver Broncos. It's a hell of a test early on. The Rams' limp offense will take on perhaps the best defense in the NFL with the No Fly Zone manning the secondary. It will create a tough first half matchup for the Rams' ongoing QB battle between Jared Goff and Case Keenum. Defensively, the Rams get Robert Quinn back to help stack up against a QB battle of Denver's own between Trevor Siemian, rookie Paxton Lynch and journeyman Mark Sanchez.

Of course with any preseason game, roster decision looms large. The second half will isolate those obvious roster moves with cuts to come and perhaps make some more difficult.

All of that comes as news just broke that Rams WR Tavon Austin will be around for many more years to come. Tonight's game might be the first chapter in the story of a young Ram who might well be joining him years from now.
