Today’s the first full pad practice for the public. They had them on yesterday for the closed special teams practice, but it’s gonna get popping today.

Injury Updates

Still good to go on this front. We’re getting reminders from around the league of the risk. Cincinnati Bengals rookie CB William Jackson, the 24th overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, tore his pec today and might miss the entire season. CB Senquez Golson, the Pittsburgh Steelers’ second-round pick from the 2015 NFL Draft, suffered a Lisfranc injury that will keep him sidelined for some time.

Can’t stress it enough. This is the main area of concern going into every practice.

Jared Goff

After Day 1’s rough go, Goff reportedly settled down a bit on Day 2. Eager to see how it goes today with the pads and everyone going full speed.

The Rams have their scrimmage on Saturday at the Coliseum, and you know all eyes are going to be on Goff. I don’t doubt the staff is doing everything they can to get him ready not only for Saturday but also a week after the scrimmage when the Rams will take on the Dallas Cowboys in their first preseason game.

Offensive Development

Drops are the early issue this year, but that’s gonna get worked out, right? Right?!

Defensive Adjustment

We’re gonna need some preseason time to clear up the personnel mix, but putting the pads on should clarify some things. Saturday will be the big tentpole in terms of assignments.
