More Tre Mason news from a TMZ report this morning. This time, the Los Angeles Rams RB was busted for recklessly riding an ATV at a public park in Palm Beach, FL. Every iteration of this situation has been odd - and this one is no different.
On 27 July, Mason was stopped by officers for “spinning the tires so the dirt and grass would shoot out on to [the nearby road].” When approached by an officer, Mason fled the scene and locked himself in his home.
After a family member convinced him to come outside to talk to the police, he was given multiple citations and the ATV was towed due to it not being a registered vehicle.
This is the latest in a series of incidents since the end of the 2015-16 season. Mason has indicated that he does not intend to report to the Rams this season and has been placed on the reserve/did not report list.
His fate with the Rams - and likely the NFL at large - is all but sealed. This has moved far past a football matter though. Hopefully Tre shows for his court appearance later this month and can get some help.
