On ESPN just now, Lisa Salters reported that both Los Angeles Rams RB Todd Gurley and DE Robert Quinn would be healthy scratches tonight.

[Los Angeles Rams Head Coach Jeff] Fisher told us they’re just both playing well in training camp, and that it makes sense to have them sit this one out.

Gurley sat out from the majority of work in training camp last year and all of the preseason after a November ACL injury in his final season at Georgia before getting his first regular season action in Week 3 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Gurley would get his first NFL start in Week 4 against the Arizona Cardinals, the first of four games that saw Gurley top 125 yards or more finishing with 566 yards — the most for any NFL rookie in his first four games.

Quinn was shut down in December to undergo back surgery. With the Rams having gotten out to a 4-8 start in 2015, there was no need to press Quinn through injury for a playoff run.

Both will sit tonight despite being full participants in training camp.
