Rams DT Louis Trinca-Pasat to Miss 2016 Season with ACL, MCL Injuries

This is a blow to the depth at DT, a position that was already thin for the Rams.

According to the National Football Post, Los Angeles Rams DT Louis Trinca-Pasat has torn his ACL and MCL and will miss the 2016 NFL season.

While not a serious blow, it is still significant given the Rams lack of depth at the position. Behind Michael Brockers and Aaron Donald, Trinca-Pasat was right in the mix to be next in the pecking order.

With the injury, Ethan Westbrooks, Dominique Easley, and newly signed Cam Thomas are left fighting for the rotational DT spots. One or more of these players will be seeing significant playing time in the coming season. With only 5 healthy bodies, the Rams may look to add another DT prior to opening camp - especially after waiving Doug Worthington earlier this week.

Trinca-Pasat was heading into his second season after joining the Rams as an undrafted free agent in 2015. He spent most of last season on the practice squad before being called up to the active roster in December.
