Per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the Los Angeles Rams will host Clemson Tigers CB Mackensie Alexander on Monday:
#Clemson CB Mackensie Alexander is visiting the #49ers today, I'm told, then he flies to LA to visit with the #Rams on Monday. Both top 15.

It's an interesting fit. The Rams are pretty deep at cornerback with Trumaine Johnson on a one-year franchise tag, E.J. Gaines coming back from a Lisfranc injury that kept him out of 2015 and Lamarcus Joyner entering his third year. To ensure sufficient reserve depth to complement Marcus Roberson, the Rams signed former Tennessee Titans CB Coty Sensabaugh on a two-year deal.
Clearly, the Rams still maintain a sizable hole at the position with the loss of Janoris Jenkins who departed in free agency to the New York Giants. Alexander, a redshirt sophomore, would offer a long-term high ceiling prospect to fill Jenkins' shoes.
It is largely part of the reason I had the Rams taking Alexander in the SBN Bloggers Mock Draft. The question is how well the Rams could bear the cost of selecting a cornerback with the 15th overall pick, which it would almost certainly cost them to add Alexander to the roster, coming off of a season in which the Rams posted the worst offense in the NFL.
At least for now with news of the visit, it's time to start considering this with some seriousness...
