The Los Angeles Rams waited 108 picks following the selection of Jared Goff with the #1 overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft before coming back on the clock to take Western Kentucky TE Tyler Higbee at #110. Three picks later, the Rams opted to fall back further executing a trade with the Chicago Bears to grab a late 6th-round pick and stock up on a thin draft class:
The Rams received No. 117 and No. 206 from the Bears in exchange for No. 113.
