After watching 108 picks following the Los Angeles Rams selecting QB Jared Goff, the Rams have taken Western Kentucky TE Tyler Higbee.
Higbee's a higher prospect on talent, but has some off-field concerns after a fight outside a bar that we'll be looking into in the weeks ahead.
Here's how the major draft sites see Higbee:
Site | TE rank | Overall rank |
Mocking the Draft | 5 | 121 |
ESPN | 5 | 112 |
CBS Sports | 7 | 162 |
So with the departure of TE Jared Cook, the Rams had a clear roster hole at tight end. Higbee addresses that in a significant way now with Lance Kendricks the only game-ready talent on the roster.
How he fits in to the rebuilding of the NFL's 32-ranked offense in 2015 will have to be seen.
As it stands, the Rams' effort on Day 3 to help shore up the roster to begin the Jared Goff Era is underway with WKU Tyler Higbee.
