The Rams drafted Greg Zuerlein in 2012 and for his first three years things seemed to be going well. He started off red hot as a rookie, and improved his field goal percentage to 92.9% in his third year in the league.
Things changed in 2015 as Zuerlein struggled mightily; only hitting 66.7% of his field goal tries. Those misses were particularly troubling, considering the Rams absolute ineptitude on offense. It stung even more-so as a number of close losses had a missed field goal as the deciding factor.
It appeared the Rams might be in the market for a new kicker, as free agency came and went with Zuerlein unsigned.
That however, changed today:
Rams have agreed to terms with free agent K Greg Zuerlein.

It's not exactly a surprising move, given the Rams limited draft capital after the monster move they made yesterday and Zuerlein's performance in 2015.
Hopefully Zuerlein can make it pay off.
