The first round of the SB Nation Blogger Mock Draft is complete. Here were the results:
Random notes:
- Three offensive tackles between #10 and #16. That was...unexpected.
- The run on WRs from 22-24. And Treadwell as the third WR off the board.
- You had a mini-run on cornerbacks too at 11, 13 and at 15 where I had us taking Alexander.
- The round closes out with a run on defensive lineman making up five of the final six selections.
It's worth bearing in mind that all of us go into this with our own biases. Some want to draft on need. Others go BPA. Some eschew what they want in favor of what they think will happen (it me, the Rams guy). So it's a bit of an inconsistent process, but that's part of what makes it fun.
The main question I have is who will end up hitting on their pick. Certainly Tunsil, Ramsey, Jack and Bosa look very possible.
Could the Eagles really go after a RB with the 8th overall pick after moving in free agency to get the 2014 league leader in rushing who went out and...look, I'm all for other teams learning the hard way, but damn.
Ryan Kelly at 18?!
And could Paxton Lynch fall all the way to the Super Bowl champions?
