2016 TST Mock Draft - Saints Edition

The New Orleans Saints Have the 12th Pick:

Not all that long ago the Saints were a threat to win the Super Bowl. That has changed. They still have an offense that can score. Score often. Their defense, on the other hand, has become dismal. Epically bad. Its no surprise that they have spent most, if not all, of their offseason trying to address that. They signed J. Byrd, Nick Fairley, and J.L. Even with that, they still have holes to fill on the defensive side of things. They still need help at DL, CB, OLB, and could use a guard. NFL.com lists DL as their most pressing need. So Fairley, while good, may not be enough to turn that unit around.

Fortunately for the Saints, there are quite a few draft worthy defensive players in this year's draft.

Even with:

  1. Tennessee - Laremy Tunsil - Mississippi
  2. Cleveland - Carson Wentz - N.D. St.
  3. San Diego - Jalen Ramsey - Fla. St.
  4. Dallas - Joey Bosa - Ohio St.
  5. Jacksonville - Myles Jack - UCLA
  6. Baltimore - Ronnie Stanley - ND
  7. S.F. - Jared Goff - Cal
  8. Phil. - Ezekiel Elliot - Ohio St.
  9. T.B. - Deforest Buckner - Oregon
  10. N.Y. Giants - Jack Conklin - Mich. St.
  11. Chicago - Vernon Hargreaves III - Fla.

Already drafted.
There are still plenty of players out there that can help their defense.

On offense they addressed the TE position by signing Colby Fleener. They could use an upgrade at the G position and released Marques Colston as well. So OL and WR is not totally out of the equation for them.
