On Monday, we had an early nugget from Kent Somers of the Arizona Republic that the Arizona Cardinals were interested in Rams DE William Hayes:
#azcardinals have expressed interest in Rams DE Williams Hayes. 8 yr vet, 30. 21.5 sacks last four years.

Today though comes news from CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora that the Rams are "intent" on keeping a hold of Brah Brah Bojangles:
Rams intent on trying to keep DL William Hayes, one of few pass rushers available. He has a nice market but would not rule out a return

Unlike cornerback where after the Janoris Jenkins departure the Rams are deep enough to accept the attrition, defensive end is a bit more dicey.
In 2015, the Rams went with Robert Quinn, Chris Long, Eugene Sims and Hayes as their four-deep DE contingent. Long has since been cut and both Hayes and Sims are on expiring deals.
For what has long been a position of stability for the Rams, defensive end could well turn into one of the biggest positions of need in the next month.
Stay tuned.
