Former longtime Rams MLB James Laurinaitis will be signing with the New Orleans Saints per NFL Network's Rand Getlin:

Laurinaitis was the Rams' second-round selection from the 2009 NFL Draft following #2 overall pick Jason Smith's lead in the class. Laurinaitis was the only member of that draft class to stay with the Rams beyond his original rookie deal. In his seven seasons, Laurinaitis became the Rams' franchise all-time tackles leader with 653. He also added at least one interception in each of his seasons with the Rams save for the 2014 season.

Laurinaitis was released by the Rams in February along with DE Chris Longwho was recently signed by the New England Patriots, and TE Jared Cook.

Laurinaitis was made the starting MLB for week 1 of his rookie year. And in each of the 112 games the Rams played, Laurinaitis was the starting MLB. He did not miss a single start in his seven seasons.
