News comes this evening that free agent TE Zach Miller will be visiting the Rams on Sunday, per Jeff Dickerson of ESPN:
Free agent tight end Zach Miller scheduled to visit the #Rams on Sunday.
— Jeff Dickerson (@DickersonESPN) March 13, 2016
Miller will be 31 when the 2016 season starts, and is coming off a 34/439/5 year for the Chicago Bears, with 100 of those yards and 2 of those touchdowns coming against the Rams and all 5 touchdowns coming in the final 8 games. Miller previously played for the Jacksonville Jaguars from 2009-2011.
Miller is 6'5 240, and still has enough in the tank to take the ball 87 yards on a screen for a TD.
With the Rams cutting Jared Cook, Miller could be an intriguing option for the Rams if the price is fair. He made $660,000 last year on a prove it deal and will be looking for a reasonable salary and a longer term deal.
The Rams also brought over Mike Groh from the Bears to be the passing game coordinator, and perhaps Miller wants in.
