The 2016 NFL Free Agency Day Of The Scorned QB continues.
Now we've got a report from Manish Mehta of the NY Daily News saying that both the Los Angeles Rams and Cleveland Browns aren't interested in going after New York Jets QB Ryan Fitzpatrick:
The Browns are also looking for a signal caller, but they're not interested in Fitzpatrick. New head coach Hue Jackson already has a veteran backup on the roster: Josh McCown. Cleveland will likely draft a quarterback with the No. 2 overall pick.
The Rams don't have real interest in making a significant financial investment in Fitzpatrick either, according to sources.
This of course would add some credibility to the report from Yahoo! Sports' Charles Robinson that the Rams are indeed "sitting tight" at QB with Case Keenum, Nick Foles and Sean Mannion.
Fitzpatrick, of course, started his career with the Rams after being drafted in the 7th round of the 2005 NFL Draft. He started three games in 2005, but never caught on full time.
