The Los Angeles Rams are currently sitting on a QB trio of Case Keenum, Nick Foles and Sean Mannion. If the public comments of Head Coach Jeff Fisher and Les Snead are to be believed, they're comfortable riding that trio into the season and using free agency and the 2016 NFL Draft to improve the team elsewhere...much to the discomfort of a large portion of the Rams' fan base.
Certainly, there's a camp hoping for Robert Griffin III (perhaps led at TST by Brandon Bate); news yesterday that he "very much wants" to play for the Rams should at least give them some cause for optimism going into the weekend. Is there a camp for Johnny Manziel? If so, there's some news on that front.
What about San Francisco 49ers QB Colin Kaepernick? He led his team to three successive NFC Championships including a Super Bowl appearance, so clearly there's an argument to made about his ability to martial his team's capabilities in the postseason even if it does require a hefty sum of parts around him. It's also hard to look over his recent performances which have been...well, not good.
So while the heat was building behind a move for Kaep to the Denver Broncos with Peyton Manning retiring instead of playing for the LA Rams and Brock Osweiler signing with the Houston Texans, rumor comes from ESPN's Adam Schefter today that the Cleveland Browns couuld be his destination:
Here's a sentiment not many have shared recently: Colin Kaepernick wants to play in Cleveland. Respects Hue Jackson. Browns-Niners talking.— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) March 11, 2016
With dominoes falling across the league, the Rams aren't left with many FA options if the Kaep deal to Cleveland gets done.
After Fitz and the aforementioned options, the drop off looks pretty steep. Matt Moore? Tavaris Jackson? Brandon Weeden?
The 2016 NFL Draft looks more and more promising...

That would likely conflict with RGIII "very much wanting" to play for the Los Angeles Rams...
