2016 NFL Scouting Combine: Rams HC Jeff Fisher Press Conference Centers On "Players Needs"

The LA Rams' Head Coach touched on everything from personnel to the offseason process to, of course, the move from St. Louis to Los Angeles.

Here's a rundown of Jeff Fisher's press conference and a subsequent scrum outside the main media area with about 20 of us that asked him questions for another 15 minutes or so:

Thanks to St. Louis fans

Fish kicked things off by thanking the fans from St. Louis for their patronage and loyalty. It did come off as being sincere, and it was a pretty classy gesture to be honest.

Praise for Todd Gurley, Mark Barron

Highlights a league trend toward the Barron type of player, a hybrid at the back who can step up to the linebacker level.

Stepping down from competition committee

Says he had to leave the committee due to time commitment he has to undertake assisting team in relocation.

Coaching staff hires over, Boras will be offensive coordinator

Said he's excited about new WR Coach Mike Groh. Nods to new RB Coach Skip Peete's experience and resume.

Says biggest priority in relocation is "player needs"

To that end, he's scheduled a players meeting for next Friday to go over some administrative details to ensure everyone is where they need to be when they need to be.

Confirms Case Keenum remains starting QB

Anticipating competition between he, Nick Foles and Sean Mannion...but we all know you can't take a February status as an August status.

Confirms Alec Ogletree moving to MLB

Said Tree has been in the building working every day and is "wearing Gregg [Williams] out."
