You'd be hard pressed to find a Rams fan who doesn't hold Steven Jackson among the best Rams of the St. Louis era. You'd also be hard pressed to find someone who feels bad the Rams wasted such a tremendous career.

Action Jackson carried the Rams for the majority of his career - only to be repeatedly let down by his surrounding cast. He holds record for the most rushing yards in team history. When your franchise has had legendary RBs like Eric Dickerson and Marshall Faulk, that's nothing to shake a stick at.

On top of being a dominant rusher on otherwise (mostly) abysmal teams, he was a tremendous emotional leader. He frequently had moments where he emotionally lifted the Rams - just look at Chris Long's reaction here That's the emotional leader of that Rams defense getting crunk off of SJ39. That's the spirit of teamwork you're seeing right there.

Jackson defined an era in St. Louis. He almost made it to #2 on the list, but a lack of postseason credentials hurt his case to climb higher on the list
