Personally, I’m a bit surprised that the Los Angeles Rams have kept to Jeff Fisher’s odd practice schedule after he was fired. The Rams certainly aren’t normal in that regard and I figured interim coach John Fassel would normalize the practice schedule with the rest of the NFL.

But that’s not the case as the Rams had yesterday off and were again required by the NFL to submit a hypothetical injury report.

The big news is obviously QB Jared Goff being a full participant. Fassel has stated that the Rams ‘anticipate’ having Goff for Saturday’s home game against the San Francisco 49ers so this is a clear representation of that mentality.

The other item of note is that the Rams secondary is really banged up right now. I’m not sure that E.J. Gaines has played at 100% all year. On top of his recurring leg issues, you have both Lamarcus Joyner Mike Jordan as limited participants.

While the 49ers report is a bit longer, and there are some concerns with the big names here.

The biggest one to keep an eye on here is Joe Staley. When healthy, Staley is a Pro Bowl caliber LT - but he’s been battling a hamstring injury and may not play Saturday. If he doesn’t, that bodes well for the Rams pass rush.

Torrey Smith is still in the concussion protocol, which means the banged up Rams secondary may catch a break if he can’t play

Keep in mind that the 49ers just lost CB Jimmy Ward (broken collarbone) and WR Quinton Patton (foot) to injured reserve as well... so they’re looking pretty rough as the 2016 season winds down.
